Christina Heggie has worked at Google for over four years in several roles that focus on connecting Google to the travel industry. As an experienced professional with extensive operational expertise across the travel industry, she oversees the go-to-market strategy for Google’s Travel Products. Prior to Google, Heggie was a founding team member of JetBlue Ventures, the airline’s corporate venture capital arm.

With experience across travel companies, venture capital, travel technology startups, and management consulting, Heggie has a distinct perspective on innovation opportunities within the travel industry. She graduated from the Stanford Graduate School of Business with her MBA and from the Cornell Hotel School as salutatorian and summa cum laude.

Shane O’Flaherty is an accomplished leader in the travel and hospitality industry, with a passion for driving innovation and enhancing the customer and employee journey. With a focus on leveraging Microsoft’s technology and its eco-system of travel solution partners, he is leading the charge in driving increased productivity and cost compression across the hotel, airline, cruise, and logistics industries.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Shane held several senior executive positions, including CEO & President at Forbes Travel Guide (formerly Mobil Travel Guide), where he successfully modernized the hotel, restaurant, and spa Five Star ratings system. Under his leadership, Forbes Travel Guide expanded globally and created the leading global provider of customer experience measurement and training for the top hospitality brands in the world.

Shane’s extensive experience also includes serving as Director of Business and Leisure Marketing for Preferred Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, where he oversaw marketing programs for their luxury hotels worldwide and directed Preferred’s hotel quality assurance program.

A sought-after industry speaker and thought leader, Shane has appeared on several global media platforms, including Today Show, Fox and Friends, Bloomberg, and Channel NewsAsia. He has also been quoted in several global publications, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA TODAY, highlighting the latest trends and insights in the travel and hospitality space.

Joe is responsible for maximising profit for all hotels and brands owned by Starwood Capital Group globally by partnering with the management’s executive team to develop and execute commercial strategies across all segments and acquisition channels. Today, Joe provides commercial leadership for over 1,000 hotels worldwide, including some category-defining brands, such as Extended Stay America, 1 Hotels, Treehouse, YOTEL, and De Vere.

He also serves as an advisory and executive board member for various industry organizations and technology partners as an advocate of owners’ interests.

Prior to joining Starwood Capital Group, Joe held various leadership positions at some of the most celebrated companies, such as The Principal Hotel Company, The Palms Casino, and Expedia.

Andrew is a seasoned hospitality veteran with over 25 years of experience and considered by many in the industry as one of the foremost revenue management and global distribution experts anywhere.

He serves currently as EVP, Commercial & Revenue Strategy over all of Aimbridge Hospitality’s 1,500+ hotels. He was previously EVP & Chief Commercial Officer for Omni Hotels & Resorts responsible for Marketing, Sales, Loyalty, Revenue Management, Digital Marketing, eCommerce, Distribution and Channel Strategy. In addition, he was previously the Senior Vice President of Distribution & Global Revenue Management for InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and was responsible for the leadership of an integrated Distribution and Revenue Management Strategy team. He has also worked with Bristol Hotels & Resorts and MeriStar Hotels & Resorts.

Mr. Rubinacci holds bachelor’s degrees in business administration, majoring in both marketing and hospitality administration at Florida State University. He has served on the boards of HSMAI, HEDNA, Worldres, Open Travel, Roomkey, and the Dedman College of Hospitality at Florida State University.

Converge 2023 opens with a welcome reception on Monday evening 24 July at 18:00 followed by a line-up of innovative sessions beginning Tuesday morning at 0830. We will close the summit with an evening reception following the sessions.

Converge 2023 will be held at the Londoner Hotel, 38 Leicester Square, London, WC2H 7DX, United Kingdom. The hotel is centrally located in the heart of London’s famous Leicester Square.

Converge 2023 will host senior leaders from across the hospitality industry interested in learning how to leverage technology to get ahead in 2023 and beyond.

Yes, Converge 2023 is a fee-based event. Standard pricing is $495 USD. Payment options are credit card or invoice.

Your registration fee includes access to all content, experiences, meals and networking during the conference, including admission to the Welcome Reception and Client Awards on Monday 24 July and the closing reception on Tuesday 25 July.

Cancellation requests made by 1 July 2023 are eligible for a full refund. Cancellation requests received after 1 July 2023 are eligible for a refund of 50% of your original payment. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to converge@ideas.com. If you are entitled to a refund, the amount refunded will be based on the fees paid and will be refunded to your original payment method.

Cancelling your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements. You are responsible for your own hotel and travel related fees and adhere to the hotel or travel company’s cancellation policies.

Attire is business casual. Consider a light jacket or sweater as meeting rooms can be cool.
