Area Vice President, APAC, IDeaS Revenue Solutions
As IDeaS’ area vice president for Asia Pacific, Rachel Grier is responsible for growing IDeaS’ Asia business and enhancing the company’s leading brand reputation in the dynamic Asian hospitality sector. Rachel possesses a unique combination of successful leadership experiences in enterprise software and hospitality sales and marketing.
With more than two decades of experience, she has a record of growing businesses in the regional hospitality and travel sectors across a range of established and emerging markets in Asia, Pacific and the Middle East. She developed her travel industry sales and marketing skills across a range of travel technology and hospitality industry brands.
Most recently, she was the senior vice president of sales, Asia Pacific and the Middle East for hotel central reservations leader Pegasus Solutions. Rachel previously worked as the area director of sales and marketing for the InterContinental Hotel Group in Japan, where she oversaw a major restructure and was responsible for sales, marketing and revenue results. She also held senior leadership roles within organizations such as Per Aquum Resorts, Spas, and Residences, Rendezvous Hotels International and FCm Travel Solutions (Flight Centre).

Ian began his Revenue Management journey at Cesar Ritz Colleges Switzerland, which led him to a decade of experience with both independent hotels and leading brands; namely, Hilton Americas, Meritus Hotels & Resorts and Pan Pacific Hotels Group.
At IDeaS, Ian specializes in solutions for independent and alternative hotel businesses; such as family-owned chains, casinos, budget hotels, holiday parks, villas, resorts and serviced apartments. He is also seen as an expert in pre-openings, renovations, market segment optimization and competitive repositioning. Having lived in 9 cities around the world, and a native from Borneo Island, Ian appreciates travelling and ocean conservation.
Business Development Manager, STR
Fenady Uriarte handles the Business Development Management of Southeast Asia for STR. She has over 12 years of experience in hospitality and real estate with global brands such as Mandarin Oriental Group, Las Vegas Sands Corporation, Raffles Hotel Singapore and Century Properties Group Inc. A graduate of Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communication in De La Salle University, Fenady has Certifications in Revenue Management from Cornell University and Hotel Industry Analytics from American Hotel and Lodging Association.
